MARTINA MARTI is a founding member of Gnab Collective and the leading figure behind the group. She is a director, performer and producer and also works as a translator of plays.
Martina studied Drama and Theatre Studies in Canterbury and Paris and did an MBA with a focus on Arts Management. After her studies, she worked as a festival programmer and dramaturg in Germany and as an international project manager particularly in the field of cultural mobility.
Martina has lived in Helsinki since 2006 and created several artistic projects in Finland. Her first work as a director in Finland was the monologue 7/1 Brothers based on Aleksis Kivi’s novel in 2008. The performance was invited to the Tampere Theatre Festival and the Stage Festival in Helsinki. In 2009, Martina founded Gnab Collective, a group of artist with whom she aims at developing collectively devised performances.
MARION MAISANO is a Swiss architect based in Berlin, who also works as stage-, costume- and graphic designer. She studied architecture at the EPF Lausanne, Università Roma Tre and the ETH Zürich, from which she took her diploma in 2004. On stage she has worked with various directors and companies in Europe and at different houses, amongst others at the State Opera, Vienna, the Hebbela am Ufer, Berlin or the National Opera, Sofia. Marion is a founding member of the Gnab Collective and has regularly worked in Finland until 2013.
CÉCILE ORBLIN is

English. She is a founding member of the Gnab Collective.
SAMULI ROININEN is a Finnish dancer-choreographer, who after studying in Rotterdamse Dansacademie and graduating in 1996 from Arts Academy at Turku University of Applied Sciences has performed in over twenty countries around the world. He worked in the Netherlands and Germany, and danced in choreographies made by Josette Baîs, Martin Butler, Nils Christe, Nacho Duato, Conny Janssen, Hans van Manen, Jiri Kyliàn and Piet Rogie. From 2003 he has worked in Tampere based Dance Theatre MD and created several choreographies. Samulis most recent work commissioned for Dance Theatre MD, Dancing Moominvalley was featured in the Finnish cultural program at EXPO 2010. The project also recieved Shanghai EXPO 2010 Culture Award.
Samuli is also a founding member of the Gnab Collective, and is regularly invited teaching and choreographing in other theatres and professional dance schools in Finland.
HEIDI BACKSTRÖM is Gnab’s producer. She has worked in the field of culture since 2003 and nowadays she runs her own marketing company MAU Oy.
